TEEN FOUNDER AND DIRECTOR-COURTNEY LENOIR
It is unique to figure out what you want to be "when you grow up" at a young age. Often, when a person's life is suddenly and drastically changed, new perspectives are gained and this was the case for Courtney. At the age of nine, her father, Rob Lenoir, was killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. The way that the community and the world reached out to her family made an everlasting impression and these sentiments gave her the inspiration to work to lessen the pain felt by others in the world in times of need. Service to others has an incredible power to lift spirits and heal. Generation Y Not was started to help increase awareness of her peers and to mobilize others to join her efforts to reach out and be true citizens of humanity. Courtney was fortunate to have excellent training and guidance by participating in these valuable programs and initiatives.- Mercy Corps- Global Citizen Corps Leader - 2006-present
